Memorandum to criminal court judges from the Ministerio de Justicia concerning abuses in sentencing criminals 1849 Nov. 6.

Memorandum, dated November 6, 1849 in Mexico City, to criminal court judges from Jiménez (possibly José María Jiménez, the minister of justice during the last half of 1848) regarding the concern of the President of the Republic (José Joaquín de Herrera) over rumors that many criminals accused of severe crimes such as robbery and murder are being released by the courts without penalties.
